We are seeking a professional and highly organised person to join our Project Team as a Project Manager/Estimator - New Customer Connections. Reporting to our Programme Manager, this position will predominantly manage an efficient customer works estimating process and build and maintain effective relationships with 3rd party customers across our network.
This role also exists to maintain our improved lead times in customer engagement, quote through to delivery of completed work, leading to customer satisfaction. You will play an integral part in the achievement of Service Delivery Third Party growth and profitability targets too.
Ontop of this, your key tasks will include:
- Estimating and quoting for the installation of new overhead and underground power connections.
- Responding to 3rd party customer requests for quotes / tenders / proposals
- Providing pricing; developing plans; specifications and cost estimates for customer projects
- Scheduling of project works
- Working with supervisors and lines distribution crews to ensure work is carried out, labour is accounted for, risks are managed, and progress is achieved across all projects
- Monitoring profit and progress of projects
- Ensuring health and safety requirements are met and exceeded in on all projects
- Perform cost analysis, project scheduling and project management activities
What we are looking for:
- Project management experience ideally within the electrical supply industry
- A sound knowledge of the electrical reticulation industry with a minimum of 5 years in this area
- Sound understanding of account management in construction, manufacturing, or similar industry
- Excellent relationship building skills, communication skills and a passion for people
- Account management experience would be highly advantageous, understanding how to work with and manage a wide variety of people and deadlines
