MASH is a provider of community based residential and rehabilitation support services. We support a range of people with differing needs to live as independently as possible in the community.
The Community Service Team provides community-based housing with support staff available depending on the level of need, throughout the Palmerston North region.
If you are passionate about making a difference and helping others, this may be the role for you. Previous experience in not essential, life skills and transferable skill sets will support your application.
The Job:
This role involves traveling to meet with people and provide support on a one to one basis to provide and administer medication in the community.
You will be part of a dynamic team that provides support targeted to meet the needs of the individual and whanau.
Hours of work:
This is a part time position working 40 hours per fortnight including some weekend work at times. Days and hours of work to be discussed with the successful applicant.
The Skills:
Passion for people, flexible approach, team player, good listener, self-motivated and good initiative.
Relevant experience or qualification is desirable but not essential.
Support Workers come from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences, but all have one thing in common, the desire to enable others to develop resilience and move forward with their recovery.
You will have a current First Aid Certificate or a willingness to obtain one and a full NZ driver's licence is essential.
