Join us in spearheading the transformative Mayor's Taskforce For Jobs program in Horowhenua! 

We are seeking candidates who possess an understanding of the barriers to employment faced in rural areas, with a particular focus on youth who are not engaged in education, employment, or training.  As a key member of our team, your primary responsibility will be to meticulously plan, lead, and execute the program. You will curate innovative training initiatives tailored to the unique needs of our job seekers, empowering them to secure sustainable employment.  Building strong connections with Horowhenua social service providers and employers, as well as establishing rapport with a diverse range of individuals, will be crucial to your success in this role. Demonstrate a high level of experience leading and coordinating a portfolio that will have reporting and financial requirements 

He kōrero mōu - About you

You will be part of a thriving and growing team that Champions Community Lead Outcomes.  Developing sustainable relationships with Community Stakeholders, Iwi, Community organisations and other partners including Ministry of Social Development to maintain positive working collaboration. Communication skills will be key to this role and you will have the ability to build a rapport with a wide range of people and understand cultural sensitivities using a Te Reo lense, along with effective relationship building skills with Youth.
