Assembly Worker

Snorkel New Zealand is a well-established and well-respected Manufacturing and engineering business specialising in the fabrication, sales and service of electric scissor lifts, rough terrain scissor lifts, articulated boom lifts and other elevated work platforms for the New Zealand and international market. With over 40 years of operation in the Horowhenua, Snorkel is proud to be manufacturing our products for the domestic and international markets and is on track for a successful 2022. We are searching for experienced Production assemblers on both a fixed term basis (December 2024) and permanent basis to work within our busy factory production team to assemble and test our products ready for delivery to our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing competing priorities within a manufacturing factory environment to meet our busy production schedules.
• Assembly and testing of equipment as part of an assemble department.
• Ensuring Health and Safety policies and procedures are always adhered to.
• Ensuring quality is maintained throughout the assembly process.
• Ensuring work undertaken is correctly recorded.
• Keeping our assembly department tidy and efficient To be successful in this role you should have the following attributes:
• Experience assembling heavy equipment in a manufacturing (or similar) environment.
• Have sound engineering or mechanical background.
• Ability to follow instructions, schematics, and diagrams and interpret accordingly.
• Have a real passion for attention to detail and quality of product.
• Display good written and communication skills.
• Demonstrate a strong safety acumen.
• Hold a current NZ Full Drivers Licence
