Electra

Electra has been a household name in electricity in Horowhenua for nearly 100 years.

We keep the electricity on in over 45,000 homes and businesses in the Horowhenua and Kapiti regions through the hard working teams of around 112 people. We operate from three locations in Levin and Paraparaumu.

The projects we are involved in include building new equipment that transports electricity to homes and businesses, maintaining and improving current equipment such as power poles, wires, underground cables, transformers and substations. We also work of maintenance areas like keeping trees away from interrupting electricity supply and improving our systems and the technology that enables us to work safely and efficiently.

The business has roles on the ground, in the air with powerlines and helicopters as well as in the office. These include Finance, ICT, Leadership, Lines Business and People and Culture. Currently we are recruiting for a Cable Jointer, a Control Room Operator and two Project Managers.
